The Deadenders and Rew Starr are 'natural' humans born from human parents without modifications, editing or enhancements.  Velvet Riot, including Seraphina are New Worlders or New World Citizens. They are scientifically designed, but they ARE human.  The Rev and Fingaz are natural humans, but they passed away in the 21st century, passed through a between lives assessment and reemerged in the 31st century with certain modifications.
