Car Trouble

My co-worker couldn’t make it in to work today. She’s having car trouble. It’s also raining; actually, it’s pouring! Luckily, I live close to work and have the luxury of being able to walk to work. It doesn’t matter to me if it’s raining. I have an umbrella. I’ve noticed that lots of people have car trouble when it’s raining. It’s an interesting phenomenon. I’ve known lots of people who can’t seem to make it to work because it’s raining. The car won’t start for some reason. Maybe there’s a leak in the hood and the engine got wet. Appointments are missed and dates get stood up. It’s amazing. How much does a car cost? I guess it’s better to stay home when it’s raining than it is to have to drive in it. Most cities have more than adequate public transportation; some transportation systems can be more trouble than they’re worth. The latter best describes the transportation in the city where I live.
