DIFFERENT TYPES OF HUMANS

 

The Deadenders and Rew Starr are 'natural' humans born from human parents without modifications, editing or enhancements. 

Velvet Riot, including Seraphina are New Worlders or New World Citizens. They are scientifically designed, but they ARE human. 

The Rev and Fingaz are natural humans, but they passed away in the 21st century, passed through a between lives assessment and reemerged in the 31st century with certain modifications. They were given the gifts of longevity and perfect health so they can fulfill their missions. 

The differences between Fingaz and the Rev are as follows: 

Fingaz was not a musician in his 20th- 21st century life as Jim McBride.                                                He was an avid fan of American west coast 60's bands like Jefferson Airplane, Hot Tuna, Grateful Dead and Quicksilver Messenger Service.                                                                                                          He had a particular fetish for bassists and bass guitars, especially Jack Casady and Jack Bruce, and he had a life-long desire to be a bassist. 

He was a good conversationalist and could speak eloquently for hours about music and military history and was always able to retain his listeners' interest and engagement.                                                        He was a kind and righteous man. During his Between Lives Assessment, it was determined that his passion, intelligence and compassion was too powerful to allow to disappear into the ether, back to the universe, Heaven, Hell or wherever it is believed that people go when they pass away.                              Jim was repurposed to bring the bass groove to Space Devils music which is the soundtrack of The New World.                                                                                                                                                      With his knowledge of traditional old world rock music, Jim, as Fingaz, is able to inject a natural, as opposed to AI, sound and feel to the New World music catalog. 

His wisdom, compassion and desire made him the perfect candidate to avoid judgement or reincarnation. Because of his character, he was rewarded with his desire, and he is now the Official Staff Bassist at Strawberry Records. He records and performs with every artist on all three of the New World's record labels, Strawberry, Dandelion and Funk Nebula. 

He also, like Dante', is a professor at The New World Music Conservatory teaching Music History and How To Really Groove. 

He is an Honorary Space Devil, so far being the only non-digital entity to hold that title. 

He was good friends with Rew Starr and Space Devils creator, Ray Galindo. Ray communicates with Jim via pendulum daily, and his spirit visits when summoned. Sometimes, Jim doesn't respond. He's probably busy recording, performing or hanging out with Rew, but he always makes time to visit. After all, it's not like he is on any kind of schedule on Neon Row. 

Jim is also the proprietor of  The Pointed Little Head Shop where, through his Curator, Ray Galindo in 2025, he sells his Pop and Counter Culture books, records and  concert posters signed by Jefferson Airplane members and other rock paraphernalia.                                                                                    The Pointed Little Head Shop also exists on Neon Row and serves as a popular gathering place for book lovers to enjoy lost works, lectures and discussions. A popular feature is The Beat Corner. Of course, Wacky Snacks and NEP's are always available for visitors and attendees.                                              Another shop, books Of Valor which is his military history collection exists only in the 21st Century and is exclusively online.
